Western Kentucky University accepts credits through ITS

Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green, KY has agreed to accept all credits earned through Industrial Training Services, Inc, Certificate and Associate Degree program through WKCTC to transfer to WKU and will be applied toward completion of a Bachelor's Degree and/or Master's Degree. 

 

The Associate in Applied Science Degree in General Occupational/ Technical Studies is awarded by the West Kentucky Community and Technical College (WKCTC) located in Paducah, Kentucky. It provides flexible alternatives for meeting student and employer needs and serves two general purposes:

  • Individualized Program—providing a flexible curriculum that can be designed to meet specific student and workplace needs, and
  • Degree Completion—providing a structure through which credit may be granted for documented training experiences in occupational/technical areas. This degree is designed to provide knowledge and documentation of the technical skills that are necessary to the operation and maintenance of natural gas facilities at the technician level.

Additionally, the curriculum prepares the student to earn a natural gas certificate in the following operating areas:

  • Construction and Maintneance
  • Leakage and Corrosion Control
  • Gas Service
  • Measurement and Regulation
